Sam Bird's work is based on her firm belief that everyday functional items shouldn’t be boring. Her inspiration comes from her love of nature, colour and texture. She likes to make one off items that can be joined in groups but still maintain their individuality. Most items are wheel thrown although she likes to dabble at hand building characterful items too.
